The viewpoints of Bohemian Switzerland open up breathtaking panoramas of rock towns, green valleys and, in clear weather, distant mountains as well.
The finest viewpoints
Mariina skála near Jetřichovice offers one of the most iconic views in all of Bohemian Switzerland — a panorama of rock towers against the backdrop of Děčínský Sněžník. Vilemínina stěna gives a wide outlook across the whole rock town. From Růžovský vrch, the highest point of the national park, you can see as far as Dresden on a clear day. The viewpoint above Dolský mlýn looks down into the deep valley of the Kamenice.
Access and difficulty
Most viewpoints are reached along marked hiking trails with a climb of under 200 metres. Mariina skála is reached by a short but steep ascent from Jetřichovice (about 30 minutes). For Růžovský vrch allow an hour-long walk. Some viewpoints, such as Belvedér or Šaunštejn, require climbing metal ladders — they are not suitable for anyone afraid of heights or for small children.
